This journey is for a distance of 240 Kms and will take you 5 hours to complete. As soon as you reach Bhalukpong you will check into the Hotel Prashanti Cottage. After your breakfast, you will check out of the hotel at Bhalukpong and be driven to Dirang. This is a journey of 195 Kms and will take you approximately 6.5 Hours. On your way to Dirang you will be visiting Bomdilla, a fantastic little hill station town that is located at a height of 8000 Ft above sea level. After your breakfast you will be checking out of the Hotel Pemaling, Dirang and driving to Tawang. The journey will take you 7 hours and is for a distance of 145 Kms. You will also see young monks at the Center for Buddhist Cultural Studies. The monastery houses an eight metre statue of Shakyamuni Buddha and it is indeed humbling to bow before the statue. The next place that you will be visiting is the Penga Ten Tso Lake. This is a high altitude Himalayan lake and is located in a place of stunning natural beauty. It is an amazing place that you just will not want to leave. The snow capped mountains around the lake are reflected on the surface of the pristine water body and the entire experience is ethereal. There is also a local crafts centre along the way which will give you insight into the lifestyle of the local population. After your breakfast you will be checking out of your hotel in Tawang and driving back to Bomdilla. You will be checking into the hotel Tsepal Yongjom at Bomdilla. There is also a craft centre in Bomdilla that showcases the local crafts and the culture of the people. You will be able to get a first hand feel of the local version of the Himalayan Buddhist life.
